Another option for pancakes lovers: pancakes with apples. I like the idea of not using any fat to prepare them. They are light, with a hint of cinnamon. I found the recipe on this website. Enjoy!


Ingredients (make about 12-15 pieces depending on the size):

190 g flour

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

50 g sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

200 ml milk

2 medium sized apples, peeled and grated

1 tsp melted butter

Mix well flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon. Beat the egg with milk and add to the flour mix. Gently mix all the ingredients. Fold the apples and butter into the final mix.

Heat up the pan. Without using any oil fry the pancakes on a medium heat, around 40-60 sec on each side till the air bubbles appear. If they get brown too quickly, lower the heat.

Serve with golden syrup, honey or chocolate.

Additional info: you can use self-raising flour (200g) instead of normal flour and baking soda/powder
