Please forgive me the poor quality of the picture but it was really late when I made it.  I saw this recipe ages ago and wanted to make these buns ever since but there was never a good occasion. Finally I had them with my fish and it was a great combination. Enjoy!

Ingredients for 12 buns:

400 g flour

20 g caster sugar

½ tsp salt

4 g dry yeast/8g fresh yeast

260 g milk

30 g melted butter

1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp milk to brush the buns

Knead all the ingredients. The dough should be elastic and smooth. Place it in a bowl and let it double in size.

Afterwards divide the dough into 12 parts. Form balls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

During that time you can prepare the filling:

60 g soft butter

4-8 cloves of garlic chopped finely

2 tsp dry parsley (you can use a fresh one too)

Mix all the ingredients. Place them into icing device or into a plastic bag in which you cut the corner.

Risen buns brush with the egg, make a cut in the middle and apply the filling.

Bake at 180°C around 15 minutes. Serve warm.

 

Bread machine owners’ method:

Place the ingredients into the machine in the order: liquid, dry and yeast. Turn on the “dough” program. After it‘s finished proceed as shown above.
