custard, rhubarb, strawberries, vanilla

Yummy, yummy… it’s simply delicious! Originally it was only made with rhubarb but I like the sour-sweet combination which comes from the mixing of rhubarb and strawberries. Custard gives the extra vanilla hint. It is certainly worth making. Enjoy!

My favourite pesto is the really basic one made from basil. I was curious to check the taste of this one, specifically because I really like the taste of parsley. Also I have never made a pesto from scratch so was anxious to try. It was really easy to make and the result was refreshing. I found the recipe here. Worth to try!

chocolate, cranberries, egg whites, figs, hazelnuts, mascarpone, Nutella

I made this cake for my friend’s birthday and was afraid that it might not taste good. It did though! I think it took 5 minutes for it to disappear completely. Mix of figs, hazelnuts, chocolate and cranberries in sweet meringue and on top of that mix of mascarpone and Nutella with just a touch of alcohol made this cake unbelievably delicious. I will certainly prepare it again. Found it in the book of my guru but one can also find it on her blog. Enjoy!

Ps. I wish I could have taken a better picture.

One of the cakes I served at work on the day of my birthday.  I know it is not very fancy but the taste was amazing and I know my lab members like sweet things like this one. I took the recipe from here and used half of the ingredients. Because of the addition of yeast this cake is the best fresh or the next day. Enjoy!
