I felt like pizza but not in a typical form. I found those long time ago but never had enough time to prepare them. This time was different. The result was really yummy and I think these ones are perfect for a picnic, buffet or movie’s night. Enjoy!

Ingredients for the dough (unless you prefer to use the ready-one from the market):

2 1/2 cup flour

1 1/2 tsp dry yeast

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup lukewarm water

2 tbsp olive oil

Ingredients for the filling:

50 g pepperoni or ham

1/2 can of corn

3/4 cup grated cheddar or mozarella

1/2 cup dense tomato sauce

oregano, basil

Mix all the ingredients.

Mix yeast with flour and salt. Add water and olive oil. Knead for around 8 minutes till your dough is elastic and smooth. Cover the bowl with a kitchen cloth and set it aside to rise for around an hour (till doubled).

After that time punch the dough to remove the gas and roll it into rectangle. Divide it into squares and then do as shown here.

This way prepared rolls leave to rise for 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven 190°C. Brush the buns with beaten egg, sprinkle with spices and bake for around 25 minutes (until golden).
