Tiramisu – yummy, brownie – yummy so when I saw this combination on my favourite blog I knew I will make it. The end result is really good, especially if you do love chocolate like me. Just make sure to not overmix the mascarpone or it will be too leaky and land on the bottom of the cake like in my case. Enjoy!
Ingredients for the chocolate part:
200 g butter
220 g caster sugar
3 large eggs
200 g dark chocolate, melted
120 g flour
1 tbsp instant coffee diluted in 1/5th cup of hot water
1 tbsp Amaretto liquor
All the ingredients should have a room temperature. Melt the chocolate in a water bath or microwave, lightly cool down.
Mix butter with sugar till it’s light and fluffy. Gradually add eggs, one by one, mixing after each addition till the ingredients incorporate.
Add chocolate and mix.
Add flour, coffee, liquor and mix again.
Ingredients for the tiramisu part:
500 g mascarpone
150 g caster sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp Amaretto
2 tsp instant coffee diluted in 1 tbsp of hot water
All ingredients should have room temperature.
Mix all the ingredients.
Wszystkie składniki powinny być w temperaturze pokojowej.
Coat cake tin 20 x 30 cm with butter and line it with baking paper (bottom and sides).
On the bottom pour 3/4th of the chocolate part, then the entire tiramisu part and then the rest of the chocolate part (might be irregular). Mix it a little with a toothpick.
Bake at 170ºC around 45 minutes (max. 60), checking with a cake tester after 45. Cake tester cannot have pieces of raw batter on it.
Cool down in slightly open oven and then few hours in the fridge.
Server with whipped cream sprinkled with cocoa.
