During the first two years of living in Switzerland I always had a cinnamon roll scone with my coffee in the morning. Those scones were truly amazing and I could have never find anything even slightly similar to them anywhere else. This recipe was one of the tries of finding that taste once again. It’s close and delicious but not quite there yet. I got the recipe here. Enjoy!
I should have started my journey through pancakes with the basic recipe but I did not. Why? No idea. Maybe because I considered them to be too normal. That was a mistake. They are by far my favourite kind of pancakes. Puffy, fluffy, thick and delicious. I had them with the apple mousse and honey and I felt like in heaven. Recipe of course from irreplaceable Dorota. Enjoy!
Yum, yum… Had some leftover full cream and wanted to use it on something tasty and lunch-appropriate. I found this recipe on my guru’s website and said to myself “hmm… crepes with full cream? how will they taste?” Believe me, it is worth making them. I enjoyed my crepes with apple mousse (how else? ;)) but you can serve them with all the sweet fillings one likes. Enjoy!
I found this recipe ages ago, when my cooking adventure was just starting. Sadly the blog I took it from does not exist anymore so I cannot show you from where the recipe came from originally. I think this way of preparing apples may serve as a breakfast or as a dessert. The only thing one must remember is to cut the apples into slices no more than 0.5 cm thick, otherwise they will stay crunchy and won’t cook. Enjoy!
Today Scottish drop scones for which the recipe came from a book of Anne Sheasby ‘The big book of bread’. They remind me of normal pancakes but with baking soda. I added some vanilla sugar to the batter to add some flavour matching to apple mousse. Another simple and tasty breakfast. Enjoy!
My curiosity led me to these ones. I was interested in the taste of carrot in a pancake. Originally this recipe had walnuts in it but I totally forgot to buy any so substituted them with grated apple. It was a perfect combination. They are delicious and rather rich so a good option for a dinner or a proper breakfast. Enjoy!
