Torture, torture… 3 months of intensive German course! Sigh… Few weeks ago I felt like waffles and decided to use my waffle maker for the second time. Sadly that was its final time. After that it stopped working. Nonetheless these waffles are indeed light and simple. Combined with whipped cream and fruits make an awesome dessert. Especially while still warm. This recipe comes from here. Have fun!
Originally this cake is called the smile of the mother-in-law. Odd name, isn’t it? It does not disturb the cake to be interesting and quite delicious though. Mix of apples and a custard is an intriguing combination and I certainly liked it. I found the recipe here long time ago and just recently prepared it. Enjoy!
I bought my cookie press some time ago but never got the chance to actually use it. And then last week I needed a break from work and decided that I will have a little bit of fun and prepare some tea cookies (like these ones). It was really easy. The only thing I do not like about this machine is the fact that the cookies come out of it really small. Maybe I should call them one-bite cookies? So or so, enjoy!
I had a rhubarb left from a previous weekend and did not want to waste it so I made this cake. I would never expect something that easy to be so delicious. The mix of sweet topping and sour/sweet fruit part with the biscuit base makes it a great combination. Looking forward to making it with different fruits. Enjoy!
Angel wings (in Polish faworki or chrust, chrusty, chruścik) are traditionally made in Poland during the Carnival and Fat Thursday. It’s a kind of crispy pastry shaped into thin twisted ribbons, deep-fried and sprinkled with icing sugar. Lots of recipes out there, I found this one on several websites. Enjoy!
I would never suspect that I will like this tart so much. I am mostly the fruity tart type and this was a big surprise. It’s sweet and moist. Simply delicious! I was looking for the recipe using a lot of egg yolks because of left over ones from mini Pavlova’s. This was a wonderful choice. My guru was right, it’s by far one of the best tarts I’ve tried! Enjoy!
